"Rather than fighting darkness, we must increase the light."

– A.D. Gordon

Voluntherapy® is a simple yet powerful idea: Healing through giving. When we give to others, we don’t just change their lives—we transform our own.

This journey started as a way to bring light into my daughter's and my own life after unimaginable loss. Today, it has grown into a movement that has empowered thousands of young people to take action, find meaning, and create change.

A Personal Journey of Resilience

Twelve years ago, I lost my partner in a tragic accident. Just days later, my father passed away. My daughter, Maor, only seven at the time, was struggling—moved between schools, diagnosed with learning and behavioral challenges, and losing confidence. Nothing was helping.

Then, everything changed. We stopped fighting grief and started creating joy—through experiences, animals, travel, and most importantly, volunteering

  • We worked in orphanages in Africa.

  • We helped refugees in Greece and Uganda.

  • Maor taught, fundraised, and found her voice.

By age 14, she was leading initiatives that mobilized over 2,000 young volunteers in Israel. She was recognized with Israel’s Presidential Award and named one of Forbes 30 Under 30—the youngest ever on the list.

The Jewish Connection: Tzedakah & Tikkun Olam

In Judaism, giving is not just a good deed—it’s a spiritual calling.

🔹 "More than the giver helps the receiver, the receiver helps the giver." – Vayikra Rabbah
🔹 Tzedakah (צדקה) and chesed (חסד) are core Jewish values.
🔹 Our sages teach: Action transforms the soul.

This is the essence of Voluntherapy—living these values in a tangible, impactful way.
